FUELS REDUCTION
CAL FIRE has been conducting fuels reduction projects within Shasta County. Three projects have occurred: Highway 44 (east), China Gulch, and West Redding.
BEFORE
Dense brush poses a danger by promoting wildfire spread and ladder fuels.
AFTER
Reducing ladder fuels helps slow fire movement.
Opportunities
The Shasta County FSC is looking for volunteers to act as community leaders and provide feedback about wildfire resiliency issues.

Shasta County FSC meets the third Tuesday of the month at 6:00pm.
